Objective
To be actively involved in the gaming industry and creating or shaping new and innovative ideas to enhance player experience. Furthermore, to gain knowledge of the business aspects concerning the development and design of exciting video games.
Skills
Game Design:
Created three FPS levels for the “Make Something Unreal Contest” in Unreal 3 Editor. Great understanding of Kismet.
Experienced Flash game developer.
Modeling and Animation experience in Maya.
Designed a well-balanced card game, involving multiple-sided dice.
Created many quick games using standard playing cards.
Computer Applications:
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
Have designed four websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Work Experience
Flash animation / UI Design Lead University of Washington (July 2008 - Present) Bothel, WA
My role was to add a dynamic user interface to a social networking website. This included creating flash games, an interactive navigation map, and an avatar creator. I lead a team designing UI for each webpage as well as helped create a balanced point and ranking system for users.
Q/A Tester Excell Data (May 2007 – August 2007) Redmond, WA
Working at Microsoft gave me an inside look at the development process in the video game industry. I became very interested in the design practice of tests and regressions. I left Excell Data only to enroll in a digital gaming degree at Bellevue Community College.
Product Tester Parker Services (August 2006– April 2007) Redmond, WA
Contracting as a product tester for Nintendo of America has only increased my ambition to work more intimately with the develpment of video games. I have learned to utilize their system to document bugs and communicate with membes of our team and the coordinators leading the project.
Pharmacy Intern Ohio Valley Medical Center (June – August 2004, 2005) Wheeling, WV
During my two years of internship in this fast-paced environment, I worked to guide the junior staff and delegated tasks to pharmacy technicians as was needed to assist the lead pharmacist. I proactively worked with the pharmacist to make purchasing decisions in order to supply the needs of the medical center.
